3) Definitions
AI tool: any system that generates text, images, code, recommendations, or decisions using machine learning.
Approved AI tool: reviewed and authorized by the organization.
Sensitive data: customer data, regulated data, confidential business info, credentials, contracts, or proprietary code.
4) Approved Tools and Access
Policy requirements
Only approved AI tools may be used for company work.
Approved tools must use SSO where available.
Access is role-based (least privilege).
Owner: Security/IT maintains the approved tools list.
5) Data Classification Rules for AI Use
Create a simple tiering model.
Tier A: Public

Do not instruct AI tools to bypass controls.
